Hey again everyone!

Last month, the nation was engaged in following our brackets in the NCAA Tournament and many of us (myself included) saw our brackets shredded! Well let me tell you about an amazing group of people. These folks are REAL champions. Last month, the Colorado Special Olympics put on a basketball tournament for these special athletes. 

I had the privilege and honor to be able to follow and photograph a couple of teams through this tournament. It was a blast! The tournament was held on Saturday, March 3 at Chatfield High School. It was a very large tournament with hundreds of athletes from all over the local area.

All of the teams showed up with lots of enthusiasm and spirit. If you have never witnessed a Special Olympics event, you are really missing out. The athletes that participate in these events display a lot of sportsmanship, drive, and energy.

It was a thrill for me to see such great sportsmanship and teamwork as these athletes demonstrated that true champions work together at all times.
